How Cats See the World
Artist and researcher Nickolay Lamm has created a series of photos that illustrate how cats see the world compared to how people do. The top photo of each pair shows what humans see, the bottom is an estimate of what cats see. Lamm consulted with eye specialists at the University of Pennsylvania veterinary school and learned that cats have a wider field of view, can’t see well at a distance, have much better night vision, and can see blue and yellow colors, but not reds and oranges.
