Two Baby Flamingos Go For a Leisurely Stroll on a Warm Summer’s Day
Two baby greater flamingos who were born in May 2016, went for a leisurely stroll on a warm summer’s day amongst the humans at the The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. According to their caretaker, flamingos connect with humans very quickly.
They are basically training to walk around the zoo so that people can walk with them and you can get an up close and personal experience. If we were hand rearing flamingos but not using them for the interpretive connection, we would still have to exercise them. they will pretty much imprint on the people immediately, which is why they’re following us around.
