Mud, An Award-Winning Short by Student Filmmakers
Kira would rather play frisbee in the mud than please her mother’s idea of how a young lady should behave.
Mud is a charming short film by student filmmakers Amy West and Jaycob Bellochio that looks at a young woman’s rebellion against her mother. It stars Kira Findling and KC Greaney and recently won the Judges Award at Project YouthView, a youth film festival in Alameda, California.
The Judges Award was selected based on media/technical, subject area content, creativity and innovation by a prestigious panel of judges which included Russell Simmons (founder of the Def Jam hip-hop label and creator of the Phat Farm clothing line); Pauley Perrette (actress, NCIS); and Terence Winter (creator, writer and executive producer of the HBO television series Boardwalk Empire).
