Horrifying Toy Giraffe Shrieks and Squeals Wildly Before Walking Off the Edge of a Table
The video “Devil Giraffe” posted by YouTube user nuttyturnip shows a horrifying toy giraffe shrieking and squealing wildly as it walks off the edge of a table. The toy’s sounds are frightening, but also scientifically inaccurate. Real giraffes produce few sounds, and some of the sounds they do produce are too low for humans to hear.
The PBS series NATUREÂ addressed the topic of giraffe sounds in a 2006 episode that included a recording of giraffes played at a frequency humans can hear.
