Asking Amazon Echo Virtual Assistant Alexa About The Meaning of Life, Opening the Pod Bay Doors & To Tell Some Jokes
I recently ordered an Amazon Echo, the new voice activated digital assistant device created by Amazon. You can interact with Amazon Echo’s virtual assistant Alexa in a variety of ways using voice recognition. I made a video where I asked Alexa about the “meaning of life” and to “open the pod bay doors” and another video where I asked her to tell me some jokes.
It’s pretty good for the first version of the product, the voice recognition is surprisingly accurate. It will be interesting to see how it evolves over time and the ways Amazon extends the functionality of the device.
