Artist Builds Detailed Miniature Interiors Inside Old TVs

Chinese artist Zhang Xiangxi builds elaborate miniature interiors inside old televisions and other discarded appliances. The interiors depict locations that have played a role in the artist’s life, from his art studio, to his parent’s sitting room, to a commuter train car. Four of his works will be on display at the 55th Venice Biennale, June 1 to November 24, 2013.
