My name is Rollin Bishop, and I’m the latest tentacle at Laughing Squid. Though I now live in Austin, TX, I spent the the past two years in New York, New York where I eventually became Managing Editor at Geekosystem. I’ve been kicking around these here Internets since around 2006, however, and it’s possible you’ve seen some of my freelance work at places like GameSetWatch or GamesRadar. It’s been a wild ride, and all brought me to the here and now.
Personally, I’m a recently married man with a penchant for science, anime, space, video games, and terrible jokes — not necessarily in that order. Sometimes “terrible jokes” take first priority. I’m happy to chat about NASA’s LRO, Nagi no Asukara, Bravely Default, or just about anything else for that matter.
I’ve been a fan of Laughing Squid for quite some time, and happened to apply to the recent opening they were looking to fill despite the fact that I no longer live anywhere near the East Coast. As you might have noticed, I started last week and have been quickly accumulating bylines. Onward and upward, I say! I look forward to touching the lot of you with my recently acquired noodly appendage.
