Madrid Stylist Masterfully Cuts Hair Using Samurai Swords, Blowtorches and Razor-Sharp Talons

Madrid salon owner Alberto Olmedo masterfully employs flames from a blowtorch, slicing Samurai swords, razor-sharp talons and even the occasional pair of scissors to create his signature hair styles. Although Olmedo tells AJ+ that his methods are “practically primitive” and “medieval”, he believes that he can only achieve symmetry by addressing both sides at once.

Hairdressers usually cut one side and then the other. And they are always a bit different from the other, even if it’s only a little bit. The only way to do it in an exact mathematical way is to cut both sides simultaneously. …Sometimes you have to use a bit of your imagination to achieve positive results
