Dan Spitz was the lead guitarist of the heavy metal band Anthrax from 1987 to 1995 until he dropped everything to become a master watchmaker. After training in Switzerland, Spitz is now a “Swiss Certified Master Watchmaker of Mechanical Complications Specialist.” He has also designed an ergonomic watchmaking bench. Spitz talks about his switch from heavy metal to watches in this interview with wristwatch magazine Hodinkee.
