Here Comes Another Bubble by Matt Hempey & The Richter Scales

by Scott Beale on December 4, 2007 · 7 comments

“Here Comes Another Bubble”, a music video about the impending Web 2.0 “bubble”.

The video was created by Matt Hempey and performed by the San Francisco Bay Area a cappella group The Richter Scales, sung to the theme of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire”.

And yes, as the song predicted, I blogged about this song.

UPDATE: A bit of controversy has erupted regarding this video.

My shot of Owen Thomas of Valleywag that I shot for Wired News is in there. I don’t even think Owen was with Valleywag at that point. Regardless, I’m wondering if Matt Hempey got permission from the other photographers whose photos he used. He certainly didn’t ask, nor receive mine. My images are all rights reserved. I’ll be contacting him.
