Bizarre and Rare Ice Splintering Phenomenon Captured on Video at Minnesota Lake

Ice on a Minnesota lake splinters into tiny shards in a remarkably noisy phenomenon that was caught on video by Minnesota resident Nadalie Thomas. According to local television channel KARE 11, the phenomenon is caused by rising temperatures and is known by some locals as “chandeliering ice.”
