Seattle Artist Turns Discarded Books Into Gorgeous Works of Art
Artist Isobelle Ouzman transforms discarded books she finds around Seattle, Washington into imaginative works of art in her Altered Books series. Opening each of the books Ouzman altered reveals a tiny world bordered by the front and back covers, much like stories one would usually find in a book. The layered look caused by cutting concentric shapes into the pages gives each image a sense of depth.
