Melter 3-D, A Mesmerizing Animated Sculpture of a Melting Metallic Sphere
“Melter 3-D” is a mesmerizing metallic sphere that appears to be melting in an infinite loop. It may look like a work of CG trickery, but it’s actually a “sculptural animation” consisting of a zoetrope-like device that creates the animated effect. “Melter 3-D” was created by artist Takeshi Murata.
