Recently, Georgia resident Burton Maugans received a most unexpected phone call from a man who had found Maugan’s wallet—a wallet he had lost in the ocean 24 years ago. The good samaritan, Jim Parker, found the wallet on Holden’s Beach in North Carolina last month. When Maugan received it in the mail, he was shocked to find his old driver’s license, student IDs, and other cards still inside and in reasonably good condition.
