Incredible Drone Footage of the ‘Zombieland’ Park Avenue Hotel Implosion in Detroit

On July 11, 2015 the historic Park Avenue Hotel in Detroit, built in 1924, was imploded to make room for the loading dock of the new Detroit Events Center, which will become the new home of the Detroit Red Wings. The vacant hotel was known for its iconic “Zombieland” graffiti written on the top of the building.

TheGadgetGuy1 captured some incredible footage of the implosion with his DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter drone. Laughing Squid partner and Detroit enthusiast John Law was also there and shot video of the implosion from his unique perspective.
