3D Animation Showing How an Oscillating Fan Works

3D animator Jared Owen virtually dismantled an oscillating fan to see how it works. Every piece of the fan was removed and examined to show how each part and mechanism cooperates with others to create a nice cool turning breeze when requested.

The table fan sitting next to you is more interesting than you think! It has a “Four Bar Mechanism” which allows it to oscillate back and forth. Come see how this works:
