In an effort to provide housing to homeless people, Oakland-based artist Gregory Kloehn is building tiny homes out of salvaged materials in an endeavor he calls the Homeless Homes Project. The homes, all mounted on wheels for a nomadic lifestyle, are made of illegally dumped materials, commercial waste, and excess household items. According to Kloehn they cost less than 100 dollars to make. Kloehn is recruiting volunteers and accepting donations on his website.
