In his photo series “Emergent Behavior,” photographer Thomas Jackson uses transparent thread to hang groups of Post-it notes, plastic cups, and other everyday objects in natural environments, forming surreal hovering installations. The photos are inspired by emergent systems in nature—termite mounds, flocking birds, and so on. We previously posted about Jackson’s sculptural photo book, “The Robot.”
