Eagle Snatches Drone Out of the Sky

Adam Culbertson of Terra Incognito Photo & Film lost his drone to a wild golden eagle, who snatched it out of the air as he was flying it through the mountains of Utah. Luckily the footage was saved to his phone and the settings on the flying machine ensured no harm came to the thieving raptor.

Just an eagle reminding me whose airspace I’m in! I kept thinking the eagle would drop it, but it quickly carried my new FPV drone all the way out of range (presumably to some faraway nest). Luckily these drones shut off their propellers as soon as they detect an impact, so the eagle was not harmed.

Eagles are known for sometimes doing this and some are even trained to do so.
