Type Case, A Typographer’s Case Converted Into an LED Display

“Type Case,” by Swiss artist Martin Bircher, is a vintage typographer’s case repurposed as a very low resolution LED display. The 125 compartments of the case are lit by LEDs and controlled by an Arduino microprocessor, allowing for graphics or video to be displayed, albeit at a resolution so low the images are mostly abstract.
