PodTech rolled out the red carpet in San Francisco Saturday night for video bloggers from around the country for the first ever Vloggies, a video blog awards ceremony, hosted by Irina Slutsky and Daniel McVicar which took place at the Swedish American Hall and with an after party at Cafe du Nord. Here are my photos of the event.

Winners included Ze Frank’s The Show, Ask A Ninja, Chuck Olsen’s Minnesota Stories, Jet Set Show, Jay Dedman, Ryanne Hodson, Josh Wolf, Rocketboom, Galacticast, blip.tv and many others, with the top honors going to the amazing Alive In Baghdad. Here’s the full list of winners.

The Vloggies featured a surprise appearance by Jerry Zucker, director of Airplane!, Ruthless People, Ghost and an others. Kevin Marks have video of Jerry’s talk.

Congratulations to Irina, Valerie and the whole PodTech crew for such a great event.

Great photos, Scott! Terrific coverage. On behalf of myself, Irina, Daniel and the entire Podtech family, thsnks to all the great vloggers out there and all those who attended for making the first ever Vloggies ceremony a resounding success. We couldn’t have done it without you! It was a total blowout and a total party and we really enjoyed bringing you all the show. For people who want to learn more about Alive in Baghdad, they are doing a presentation in SF tonight/Sunday from 7-9pm where they will talk about the history of the project, where it’s going, show some videos and answer questions. Details here:
