‘The Beast Inside’, A Short Animated Documentary About the Struggles of a Homeless Teenager

“The Beast Inside” is a short animated documentary directed by Drew Christie and Amy Enser for the Seattle University Project on Family Homelessness that follows the real-life struggles of a homeless teenager named Tilawn. The short combines Tilawn’s rapping and narration with hand-drawn animation. It’s part of the American Refugees film series, a project funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that is aimed at raising awareness of homelessness.
