TED Animation ‘The Fundamentals of Space-Time’ Breaks Down Complex Physics Concepts in Flipbook Form

TED Ed, the TED lecture series’ online education wing, has launched “The Fundamentals of Space-Time,” a series of animated shorts breaking down some extremely complex physics concepts. In the first installment, cosmologist Andrew Pontzen and CERN scientist Tom Whyntie kick of an explanation of time as the fourth dimension of space — or, more simply put, 4D spacetime. The duo help simplify the concept by comparing it to panels in an animated sequence, wherein notions of time can be examined through spatial relations.
