Shy Winter White Ermine Rises Up From Its Hiding Place Inside a Hollowed Tree in a Hesitant Game of Peekaboo

A Michigan man named Chris Cooper caught this wonderful footage of a curious but shy winter white ermine (short-tailed weasel) slowly rising and setting from its clever hiding place deep inside a hollowed tree in a hesitant game of peek-a-boo. Cooper said that the ermine “has to be one of the cutest creatures I’ve seen in the wild.”

Cooper also shared the footage of when he first caught sight of the ermine.
