Mondo Spider, An Amazing 8 Leg Robotic Walking Machine

by Scott Beale on December 14, 2007 · 4 comments

The Mondo Spider is an amazing 1,500 lb, 8 leg robotic walking machine, inspired by Vancouver Junkyard Wars, that was created by a team of Vancouver artists for Burning Man 2006 as one of the funded art projects last year.

Here’s video of the Mondo Spider on a test run and another video of it at Burning Man 2006. More video can be found on the Mondo Spider website.

UPDATE: Violet Blue posted about the Mondo Spider a while back, linking to some photos of the project by Ryan Betts.
