Speaking of the Life Size Mousetrap, here’s my video of its first run at Maker Faire Austin 2007. The Mousetrap is a wonderful thing to behold and is both a great tribute to the board game “Mouse Trap” as well as to inventor/cartoonist Rube Goldberg.

It’s a fantastically hand crafted, 16 piece, 50,000 lb interactive kinetic sculpture set atop a 6,500 square-foot, 2,000 lb game board.

Here’s a video of the Life Size Mousetrap being set up at Maker Faire Austin 2007.

The Life Size Mousetrap will be returning to Maker Faire Bay Area again this year.

Sweet. I remember when they were building this thing in the (then-)empty parking lot behind the Mission Cliffs gym. Looking forward to seeing it again at the Maker’s Faire.
