David Newman started off doing sketches of people at tech events in Silicon Valley and then when the iPad came out in April he began drawing portraits of people on his iPad using Autodesk SketchBook Pro.

David is having his first solo art show featuring his portraits this weekend at iOSDevCamp 2010, which takes place August 20-22 at the PayPal headquarters in San Jose.

Robert Scoble shot a building43 video showing how David Newman draws his iPad portraits.
