I Got an Envelope

I Got an Envelope is a simple mail art project where anyone (yes, even you) can participate. Just take an envelope, self-address it, stamp it, and leave it in a public space with a note akin to the sample one below:

Dear finder, put something personal inside the envelope and then return it to me. Be as original and artistic as possible and the content of the envelope will be submitted to igotanenvelope.com.

Photos of the contents of the returned envelopes are then posted to the blog.

“i put my envelope in a “sex for dummies” book at a borders in downtown PHOENIX ARIZONA! it was crazy when i got it back i never thought i was going to! but i did and it was weird i got a condom with this girls number on it.”

Some, unfortunately, are not so sexy and just border on creepy-bad (which is totally different than creepy-good).
