The Spielberg Oner, A Study of Steven Spielberg’s Fascinating Long Takes in Movies

Film enthusiast Tony Zhou of Every Frame a Painting has created “The Spielberg Oner,” an interesting video essay that takes a look at director Steven Spielberg‘s fascinating long takes in movies. Tony also compiled two extra videos that leave out his commentary and showcase original footage from Steven’s lengthy and quick unbroken scenes.

One overlooked aspect of Spielberg is that he’s actually a stealth master of the long take. From Duel to Tintin, for forty years, he has sneakily filmed many scenes in a single continuous shot. As always, this video is for educational purposes only.
