Compassionate Costume Designer Repairs the Broken Wing of a Young Monarch Butterfly

Romy McCloskey, a talented costume designer in Texas who raises butterflies, used her creative skills to repair the underdeveloped, broken wing of a young monarch butterfly. Using pieces of a wing from another butterfly who passed, McCloskey was able to fill in the gaps and create a smooth surface that allowed him to fly for the very first time.
