Redditor Gets Presents from Bill Gates in a Secret Santa Gift Exchange

Rachel, also known as NY1227, got presents from Bill Gates in reddit’s annual Secret Santa gift exchange. Gates sent a cow stuffed animal and made a donation to Heifer International — a nonprofit that provides cows and other livestock to people in need — in her name, along with a photo, a card, and a National Geographic travel book, Journeys of a Lifetime: 500 of the World’s Greatest Trips. In her post recounting the gift, she thanked Gates profusely and added “Sorry for the Apple iPad on my wishlist, that was really awkward.”
