Jimi Hendrix Makes His Television Debut Playing Backup Guitar for ‘Buddy and Stacy’ in 1965

Jimi Hendrix, who began his professional music career touring with Little Richard in The Upsetters, made his television debut in 1965 on the Night Train show in Nashville while playing backup guitar for bandmembers Buddy and Stacy. They performed a cover of Junior Walker‘s iconic Motown song “Shotgun”.
