Geeky Mom Converts Her Toddler’s Push Car Into a DeLorean Time Machine From ‘Back to the Future’
Software engineer, artist, and geeky mother Cory Newton-Smith was so inspired by her little son Cooper’s red puffy vest that she decided to convert his toddler push car into a DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future. She recreated the iconic vehicle using “cardboard, tape, paint, and EL lighting,” and dressed her son up as Marty McFly to tie the entire Halloween costume together. You can view more photos of the car and costume on Instructables.
I’ve always loved ‘Back to the Future’, and love cars since I was little and grew up going to car shows with my Dad; what better way to tote my 1yr old son around on Halloween than in a transformed $25 Step2 push car I bought? So, I spent a few weekends and nights in October recreating the iconic DeLorean. The perfect costume for Cooper’s first Halloween!
