Deaf Woman Performs an Amazing American Sign Language Interpretation of ‘Alexander Hamilton’

Sarah Tubert, a talented 24-year old California woman who became deaf at the age of three due to a severed facial nerve, performed an absolutely amazing American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation of “Alexander Hamilton”, the titular song from the Lin-Manuel Miranda Broadway musical mega-hit Hamilton.

This video is something that I’m really proud of and worked really hard on. I am proud to be Deaf and I am happy I can share ASL with everyone. Please share and repost this video to show the world how beautiful the Deaf world is!

The playwright also impressed with Tubert’s interpretation, praising it on Twitter.

In 2010, Tubert was named a Subway High School Hero Ambassador for her work with the deaf community and her talent for various sports.
