During the SiriusXM show Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, the titular host Conan O’Brien found himself directly in the crosshairs of the very forthright Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (voice by Robert Smigel) who pulled no punches whatsoever. Smigel was just their to promote his new animated film Leo.
Triumph The Insult Comic Dog (aka Robert Smigel) joins the Chill Chums to roast Conan, Sona, and Matt. Later, Conan talks to Robert about their long history and Robert’s new animated movie, “Leo.”
Smigel tells the story of how he originally found the Triumph dog puppet at a furniture store.
