Illustrator Tineke Meirink photographs everyday things like trees, litter, and buildings, and turns them into whimsical characters by adding a little digital illustration to the photos. She calls the project “Stop:watch.”
Stop:watch is about taking a closer look. To stop and watch. Tineke takes photos of apparently uninteresting items such as litter and bird-droppings and adds a minimal illustration digitally. That way these photos get a whole different meaning, they come to life. She hopes it makes people realize that everything has its beauty and that it is just more fun to take a closer look.
