A Residential Building Concept That Offers Changing Views With Living Units That Rotate and Descend on a Spiral Track
Designer Shin Kuo has created Turn to the Future, a residential building concept in which residents take turns enjoying a top-floor view via a system of movable living units. The living units gradually descend along a spiral track around the perimeter of the building. When a unit reaches the ground floor, it is lifted to the top by an internal crane. The units move in a single step each day–a full rotation takes just over two months. The project won the Futuristic Design Category in the A’Design Award and Competition.
