Yahoo! Live

Yahoo! just has launched their new experimental live streaming service Yahoo! Live. You can sign-up and create your own live channel as well as watch video streams from other live channels.

We’re excited to share with you Yahoo! Live, a new experiment in live video from the Advanced Products team at Yahoo!. Y! Live was dreamed up as a way to make it possible for anyone to create their own live video experience. Broadcast the concert you’re at. Webcast your own live DJ set. Lifecast. Build your own live video speed dating application. We’ve created a website and an API that lets you do all these things and many more.

At launch they featured a live channel by hip hop producer/rapper JT the Bigga Figga streaming live from Yahoo! Brickhouse in San Francisco.

I like the error message: “We’re experiencing heavy traffic and have run out of capacity. You can continue to stream chat and surf once our servers stop smoking” At the moment all I can see is some guys ass.
