Vintage T-Shirts

Yeah, I like t-shirts and I’m a sucker for great designs, like the stuff from Threadless and so on. I’m no Cal Henderson, but I have a pretty decent collection of t-shirts. So I was thrilled when a copy of the new book “Vintage T-Shirts” showed up in the mail. Lisa Kidner and Sam Knee have compiled an awesome collection of over 500 t-shirts from the 70’s and 80’s, covering the full spectrum including punk, metal, skate, BMX and so on. This one really takes you back and may induce stadium rock flackbacks.

This phenomenal celebration of the ever-popular t-shirt brings together old favorites from the 1970s and 1980s. With more than 500 uncommon examples, this book documents history by examining this ubiquitous and affordable article of clothing. With full-color photographs throughout, Vintage T-Shirts is a must have for t-shirt collectors, fashion buffs, and pop culture junkies alike.

“Vintage T-Shirts” is published by Collins Design (a division of Harper Collins) and can ordered online through Last Gasp and many other fine books stores.

All the old stuff I wore as a child is coming back. Kinda scary and makes you feel old, but it looks great most of the time.
