SiliconValley CodeCamp 2006

My friend Nima Dilmaghani is helping to organize SiliconValley CodeCamp 2006 which takes place this Saturday, October 7th through Sunday, October 8th at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. Here’s the agenda and list of presenters. For more info, see the wiki.

Code Camp is a free conference by and for the developer community. Speakers volunteer their time and everyone attends for free. It’s a place to learn, to network and to dig into some code.

Over 700 people have registered for the event so far. If you plan on attending, you can register here.

Awesome news about another collaborative developer event!

Although Nima’s announcement reads “all software technologies and platforms are welcome and are encouraged to participate” the current SiliconValley CodeCamp frontpage is very heavy on the Microsoft in terms of user groups and sponsors. Hopefully, that does not discourage people, and there is a full mix of participants.
