Julia Solis

Last Sunday The San Francisco Chronicle published an article on our friend Julia Solis, who is visiting from New York. Earlier this week we announced that Laughing Squid is presenting a special reading by Julia from her book New York Underground on Thursday, March 10th at City Lights in San Francisco. The Chronicle article also makes reference to John Law, The Suicide Club, The Cacophony Society, The Billboard Liberation Front, Santarchy, the infamous trio of Doggie Diner dog heads and even Laughing Squid.

“SUBCULTURE: Going underground — Urban explorer documents the hidden world of speakeasies, sewers and subways” (by Annie Nako, San Francisco Chronicle, Sunday, March 6th, 2005)
