Brian McCarty

Los Angeles photographer Brian McCarty shoots amazing photos of toy figures in realistic settings. His work is featured in issue #1 of Hi Fructose and his photo of Attaboy’s axtrx was used for the cover. He came to San Francisco a couple of weeks ago for our Hi Fructose Release Party, so we were able to hang out with him a bit and find out what he’s been up to. Speaking of which, Brian will periodically send out an ePostcard featuring one of his new images (like the one above). To join his mailing list, just sign-up here.

Hey, kids! Sing along with Uncle Bill!

“Here he comes
Here comes Speed Racer.
He’s a demon on wheels.
He’s a demon and he’s gonna be chasin’ after someone.”

The sheer conviction of that song sends chills up my spine. He’s gonna be chasin’ after someone!

When you see the Mach 5, you can pretty much lay your money down that someone is going to get chased. Ooooohhhhh…. gives me goosebumps…
