Amazing Pilobolus Dance Theater Performance at The Oscars

by Scott Beale on May 6, 2007 · 10 comments

Check out this video of an amazing performance by the Pilobolus Dance Theater at this year’s 79th Annual Academy Awards ceremony. It’s pretty incredible what realistic and imaginative shapes they can form.

UPDATE: Well my secret is out. I have no interest at all in the Oscars and haven’t watched it in years (long story), which explains why I didn’t see this performance when it aired. I went ahead and updated this post with the information provided by the people in the comments. I knew you guys would be able to fill in the blanks. It’s strange that the two videos on YouTube do not reference this any of this information.

This was part of this year’s Oscar’s. You’ll notice that they formed a statue at one point and that everything they do alludes to a nominated movie.

They are called the Pilobolus Dance Theater.
