A Rare Quadruple Rainbow Spotted in Glen Cove, New York
Amanda Curtis, founder of Nineteenth Amendment, snapped a beautiful photograph of a rare quadruple rainbow over Glen Cove, New York on April 21, 2015.
Quadruple rainbows are so rare that many believed them to be impossible until 2011 when photographic evidence was presented and meteorologists Raymond L. Lee Jr. and Philip Laven published a paper in Applied Optics explaining the exact conditions needed to produce them.
