Wu Tang Clan Is Releasing a Single Copy of Their New Secret Album for One Lucky Buyer
After several years spent recording in secret, The Wu Tang Clan is releasing a single copy of its latest album, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin. The one-off piece of art will be housed in a heavily-detailed box of engraved silver and nickel, handcrafted in Morocco by the artist Yaya.
We’re about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of [modern] music. We’re making a single-sale collector’s item. This is like somebody having the scepter of an Egyptian king.
The album will tour festivals, museums and galleries, fetching a $30 to $50 listening fee, before being sold off to a single buyer for a price that will be set “in the millions.” The Wu – Once Upon A Time In Shaolin is the first release from EZCLZIV’s The Carmen Clandestine Experience, the “world’s first private music service.”
