Whisper, An App for Anonymously Sharing Secrets

Whisper is an app for anonymously sharing secrets with a picture and overlaid text. Kevin Roose spent some time with the app, and wrote about his experience in New York Magazine:

I created an account, chose a nickname, and began looking around. Heyward says he has seen deep interactions unfold on Whisper – couples meeting and falling in love, suicidal teens helping each other out of the abyss – but most of what I saw was more frivolous.

The app is currently available to download for iOS and Android from the iTunes App Store and Google Play, respectively.
