Tie the Knot, Jesse Tyler Ferguson of ‘Modern Family’ Sells Bowties to Support Marriage Equality

Tie the Knot, a wonderful organization founded by Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita, sells affordable limited-edition bow ties from The Tie Bar and donates 80% of the proceeds to various foundations that support marriage equality—such as the Human Rights Campaign, Lambda Legal, American Foundation for Equal Rights, Freedom to Marry, and the National Center for Lesbian Rights, just to name a few.

It’s simple: we will release a collection of neckwear seasonally, inspired by our favorite art, fashion, things we see on the street, and things in our living room. Each bow tie will be produced in limited quantity to inspire and promote uniqueness & individuality. Proceeds from the sale of the bow ties will go to various organizations that are in the trenches fighting for the civil rights of gay and lesbian Americans every single day, as well as to fund our international public education campaign to help continue to move the dial up in support of LGBT equality.
