The Paravelo Flying Bicycle

The Paravelo is a bicycle that doubles as an ultra light aircraft. Designed in the UK by John Foden and Yannick Read of XploreAir, the Paravelo consists of a compact bicycle and a trailer-mounted paragliding motor. On the ground the Paravelo operates as a traditional bicycle with trailer. In flying mode, the bicycle is docked with the trailer and a collapsible parachute wing is attached. The Paravelo can fly for 3 hours with a maximum speed of 25 MPH. Foden and Read are raising funds for the project on Kickstarter.
