Mother Cat Nurses a Days-Old Pit Bull Puppy Right Next to Her Newborn Kittens, Accepting Him as Her Very Own

In this report from Annette Lawless of FOX8 in Cleveland, Ohio, a generous mother cat named Lolene, who just had a litter of kittens, very kindly accepted an abandoned days-old pit pull puppy as her very own, nursing the tiny canine right next to her own little babies at the Cleveland Animal Protective League.

We held the puppy up to her, she came up she started sniffing and then immediately nuzzling and licking and just accepting the puppy as one of own immediately. It was remarkable to witness. …he doesn’t know she’s a cat and I don’t think she knows he’s a dog. …I mean they don’t know that one is different from the other. They’re just one happy little family
