Marmalade the Cat Has Cancer and Needs Help Paying for His Chemotherapy
Marmalade, the sweet and very vocal one-year-old striped ginger cat who makes up one half of the popular feline Cole & Marmalade duo (previously), was recently diagnosed with intestinal cancer. Determined to give the little guy a fighting chance, their human Chris Poole has reached out to their audience for assistance in paying for Marm’s chemotherapy.
After x-rays showed a mass in Marmalade’s intestines, surgery was needed to remove it… The mass was unfortunately cancerous and Marmalade also tested positive for FIV which is the likely cause that he became sick so early on in life. So with the inital cost of surgery that was $5000+ Marmalade will also be starting chemotherapy treatment to make sure we can keep the cancer at bay so he’ll be around for a long time to come, his humans and his fans all over the world have too much love for this little guy to give up now. We’re certain with the right treatment this feisty ginger kitty will kick cancer’s butt!
If you have enjoyed our Cole & Marmalade videos, appreciate the work we do to help get cats adopted and have smiled at Marm’s silly antics, purr-lease give what you can.
Donations to Marmalade’s treatment can be made through FundRazr. Multi-language Cole & Marmalade calendars are also available, with proceeds going to Marmalade’s care.
Make your 2015 PURR-FECT and look at great pics of the boys all year long! … We priced the calendar at $14.99 and it’s available in 6 different versions (I spent the time creating it with USA, UK, Italian, Netherlands, French, Canadian and Spanish holidays) So Cole and Marmalade fans around the world can purchase a copy and help support Marm’s chemotherapy fund at the same time.
It’s a relief to see that neither Marmalade nor Cole have lost a bit of their playful natures in the face of Marm’s diagnosis.
